Alumni35: Celebrating resiliency and global citizenship
In celebration of Alumni Relations’ 35th anniversary, the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Foundation and Alumni Relations have chosen 35 alumni who embody Douglas’ vision of graduating resilient global citizens to receive the Alumni35 award. The Alumni35 award recognizes ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ alumni who, either through their career, life’s work or passion project, are using their skills and knowledge to adapt, innovate and lead in our ever-changing world.
The 35 selected alumni will be awarded $1,000 for their choice of the following:
- Personal use, to help further their career or passion project;
- Donated on their behalf to support a ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Faculty or program of their choice;
- Donated to a charity of their choice in the community.

The ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Foundation and Alumni Relations has chosen 35 alumni who embody Douglas’ vision of graduating resilient global citizens to receive the Alumni35 award. Nominations for the Alumni35 award opened in June 2022 and closed in December 2022. Over the course of several months, the Foundation and Alumni Relations received over 75 applications from ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵalum from all over the world. The 35 alumni were selected by an internal adjudication committee made up of staff from across the College.
Alumni are any former students of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ, including but not limited to our degree and diploma programs, the University Transfer program, Continuing Education and Training Group programs. Whether you took one course or many, you are a member of the alumni family.
